Legoland, Jim Jam Jog and Eid
9P had a fantastic time yesterday visiting Legoland for our end of term trip. We explored all the different creations in Legoland, which we all really enjoyed. 9P watched a 4D Lego film in a cinema using 4D glasses, we even got sprayed with water in the cinema at the end of the film.
9P all had a turn on the rides too, lots of laughs and smiles throughout the day. In the afternoon, we visited the play area, playing on the slides and in the ball pool. Some children also had a go at climbing the rock climbing wall, they did amazing at this too!
Another child enjoyed making a car, placing the wheels on the car and pushing it down the ramp to see how far it could go. A super trip to Legoland for 9P.
This week, we have been learning about Eid. During our English lesson linked to Eid, Miss Buck read a story to the class about the Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon him - PBUH) and his belief in Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). The children then made verbal sentences about what had happened in the story using Colourful Semantics. Miss Buck modelled use of the respectful phrases above after saying Allah's (Glorified and Exalted is He) and Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH)'s names. One child learnt these respectful phrases off by heart and we're so proud of him for this, well done! The children were all really respectful and enjoyed learning an important Islamic story.
Today, we have all taken part in the Jim Jam Jog outside on the school field to raise money for school. All of the students in class 9P came into class wearing our pyjamas for the Jim Jam Jog. It was a lovely sunny morning so we enjoyed walking and running together in our pyjamas.
A fun end to the Spring term at school.
