Celebrating Eid in 7P

 

On Monday 7P celebrated Eid. The learners watched a PowerPoint explaining what Eid is and how muslim’s celebrate this day. 

We learnt that Eid means festival or celebration. Some Muslim families celebrate Eid by putting on new clothes and sharing meals with family and friends. They make all kinds of different foods like samosas, pakoras, kebabs and much more. They decorate their homes with colourful decorations and lanterns too.

Some families give greetings cards and children may receive gifts of money, clothes and toys.

Whilst listening to some Eid music, 7P thought it would be nice to write a card and send it to their family members to celebrate Eid. They also did some fantastic colouring and also coloured in a crown and cut it out.
